This issue has been fixed for mobile, but persists for PC and console. The rocket racing vehicle HUD shows when a player manually respawns while inside it on PC and Console.
Full replication steps from my own Trello Card (Video of bug on Trello too):
Replicate:
- Start Fortnite on any platform.
- Connect a bluetooth controller or keyboard + mouse and only use it. Do not use touch input on mobile.
- Start a creative match.
- Enter the portal on the spawn island to enter your island.
- Open the map and click the island settings tab.
- Click the “Mode” tab and then expand the “Spawning” header.
- Set the “Spawn Limit” setting to “Infinite”.
- Now scroll down and expand the “Eliminations” header.
- Set the “Allow manual Respawn” setting to “Yes”.
- Now click the “Content” tab in the top bar.
- Click devices on the left and search for the “RR Vehicle Spawner”.
- Place the RR Vehicle Spawner in your island.
- Enter the RR Vehicle.
- Click the menu button to open the game menu.
- Click the “Respawn” button and then click Respawn again to confirm.
- Notice what the HUD looks like after you respawn.
You will notice the HUD looks like the RR Vehicle HUD you were just in before you respawned. This happens on all platforms, except for touch input on mobile.
