Major Bug: Geometry Displacement on Refresh and File Reload in Twinmotion 2026.1 (Update 2)

Hi Team and Community,

I am reporting a critical issue that started occurring after updating to the second update of Twinmotion 2026.1. My project geometry gets completely “jumbled up” or misaligned, and it seems to be an incremental corruption.

The Workflow:

  • Source Software: 3ds Max.

  • Format: FBX Import (Not Datasmith).

  • Import Settings: “Keep Hierarchy” (as shown in the attached settings screenshot).

  • Object Structure: Individual objects (not grouped).

The Problem:

  1. Initial Import: When first imported, everything looks 100% correct.

  2. Refreshing: The problem starts during “Import Refresh.” With every refresh, objects begin to displace randomly.

  3. Reopening the Project: Once I save, close, and reopen the file, the entire model is completely broken. Objects are floating, rotated, or moved far from their original coordinates (as seen in the viewport screenshot).

This workflow was working perfectly in previous versions. Re-importing or refreshing only fixes a small fraction of the displacement; the rest remains corrupted. It seems the software is failing to correctly save or “lock” the transformation data of individual objects in the hierarchy after the update.

System Specs:

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

  • RAM: 32 GB

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

I have attached screenshots of my import settings and the corrupted state of the model. Is this a known bug in the latest update? Any help would be appreciated.
