Main menu loading issue

Hi all, this is my first post, and I am nervous about that and being old, lol. I have reviewed various questions on the forum and watched YouTube videos, but I am still at loggerheads. I have created a simple 3rd person shooter, animated the character and can get the game to play. I added an intro video scene and score, which works fine. I have now added a main menu. I have created a main menu widget and a main menu blueprint class. The buttons on the main menu have been scripted to launch the game or quit the game, and when tested separately, they work.

When I play the game, the menu doesn’t load. I have tried the various changes in the project settings, and when the game loads, it misses the load scene and goes into the map outside of It.

What have I done wrong, and how do I correct this, please? I need a simple answer only as I am almost 50 and just learning this. Thank you.

What’s the structure? What’s is calling what? Is you menu in a level, or?..

There shouldn’t be much mystery, maybe the game instance is doing something, it’s the first thing that loads

You could also make sure that the maps are cooked when doing the builds
