macOS with 5.5 Lighting Build Failed and Megalights not working

On versions 5.5 and 5.5.1, I am encountering an error message during the Light Building process, indicating a failure in the Lighting Build. This issue has not been observed in versions 5.3.2 or 5.4.4 on macOS. Could there be a change in 5.5 that has caused this problem?

Additionally, the Megalights appear to be malfunctioning on macOS.

Could someone please confirm if these observations are consistent with others?

This isn’t necessarily a fix but I noticed the same issue with 5.5 and 5.5.1 and hadn’t had it in prior versions.

For my project, I noticed it because I removed some template features and wanted to remove the baked shadows on the floor.

The DirectionalLight was set to Stationary and as soon as I updated it to Movable, the floor and anywhere else updated.

I still get the error if I try to Build Lights so you’re at least not the only one seeing it. I can’t speak on the Megalights though.

Same problem here, no build even on default project. Unreal Engine 5.5.1 on macOS.

I’m back to work on 5.4.4.

Can also confirm, build lighting in 5.5.1 is not working. Tested on M2 Pro.

I tried to upgrade a project i have from 5.4.4 to 5.5.1 and I’m also encountering this on a Mac, but not in Windows.
