Hi there,

I’m looking to do a course on udemy learning how to create and program

using the unreal engine, it says the requirements are a ‘64-bit Mac or PC capable of running unreal engine 4’ before enrolling I just wanted to check my Mac fits the requirements. As well, apparently you need ‘NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX’ graphics card or better, if so, does my Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB fit this? I have attached the about overview of my Mac, I hope this helps - let me know if I need to provide any other information.

I’m afraid that your MacBook Air does not meet the recommended specs to run UE4. For a Mac, you need the following specs:

  • Quadcore Processor running 2.5GHz or faster
  • 8 GB of RAM or more
  • NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher capable of running Metal.
