Macbook pro 2015 , built in display

Hi Epic,

I have a Macbook pro with intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB.
I cant run the editor at all, its really buggy, with severe flickering all over , and blank screen freezes.
I am not doing any rendering or any scene loading , just lunching the editor.
I know the specs ask for a serious GPU (no offence intel) but does that mean I will not be able to use UE4 at all ?
I think its just some issue with the drivers but I am not sure, any assistant is welcomed.

thanks!

What OS X version and engine version do you have installed?

OSX 10.11.4

Engine version is 4.7.6

I know UE 4.7.x worked OK on this MacBook Pro a year ago, on OS X 10.10.x, but maybe something’s wrong with new drivers in El Capitan? Is there any chance you could test UE 4.11 we just released and see if it works OK for you? I know it’s not a solution if you have a project that you’re already working on in 4.7 and cannot easily upgrade to 4.11, but it would tell us more. On the other hand, with introduction of Metal support in 4.11, we strongly recommend that all Mac users upgrade to 4.11 and OS X 10.11.4 as soon as they can. It’s so much better.

Hi 086,
Thanks for the update, that solved all the issues,
It runs smooooooth
The Metal support is brilliant.
