Mac: Unable to rotate camera in viewport - right-clicking (two-finger click) moves camera up and down

Mac: Unable to rotate camera in viewport - right-clicking (two-finger click) moves camera up and down along the Z-axis instead of rotating it like it is supposed to. I have no other way of rotating the camera - please help!

I am running 4.27.2. Thanks guys!

Greetings Sunshine_Arts_Studios! We see that this is your first time posting in the forums! :medal_sports: We’re so stoked to have you join the Unreal Engine Community!

I am sorry to see that you are having issues with being unable to rotate the camera. Until someone else more experienced than me can assist you, would you consider trying the following:

In the Set View Yaw Min and Max (minimum and maximum angle at which the camera turns on the Z-axis) what are your values? Perhaps if you set the values right under 360 (-359.9 for min and 359.9 for max), you might be able to rotate the camera again. Let me know if this helps!

Also, are you attempting to rotate the camera independently or from a first person perspective?

(Note: I’m no expert by any means, just a neophyte trying to assist. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)

Hey there! Turns out I’m silly. All you had to do was NOT click on the viewport and move your two fingers around. Huh! Glad I figured this out. I’ll leave this post up in case it helps other people who are confused. Thanks!

LOL! It happens! Sometimes we are so focused or expect something complicated that we can overlook the simplest things! I am so happy that you figured out what was happening, and thanks so much for sharing!
