Mac quixel bridge node-bifrost

Unable to get quixel bridge to start. Yesterday, it was opening quixel bridge but when I attempted to log in using my Epic login unreal would crash. Today, it doesn’t even allow that. Quixel opens with a message about node-bifrost being damaged and suggesting to move it to trash. Using a Mac Studio M1 Max OS has been updated to most recent. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no joy.

UPDATE!
I was able to get past the Node problem, however now when I try to log in with my Epic account everything crashes. It also states in the bottom left hand corner that background services have stopped working.

Having the same problem - running Unreal 5.03 on Mac Studio M1 Ultra. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I actually restored my whole system with Monterey clean install, reinstalled UE5, installed the plugins and now it works. I know when I started UE5 this time it actually asked me for permissions. It was a hassle but now everything works really smooth.

Okay thanks @MichaelJNorman Im using OS 13 Ventura as Monterey was constantly crashing with Unreal (another story for another time) on a separate start up disk but will probably have to give this a go

Ya, I was using Ventura as well, so I think maybe that was what the real problem was. Mainly too, if you look at the node and try to let it through your fire wall you’ll just see it as being incompatible anyways. Haven’t had any crashing from UE5 either on Monterey.

Sorry @MichaelJNorman just to confirm you’re saying you’ve had no crashes so far after reinstalling and using Monterey? Did you have problems with it before trying Ventura? Ive just done a complete reinstall and hoping to avoid the alternative start up disk option if at all possible

That is correct, after a complete fresh reinstall of Monterey I.e. backing up only files not programs and reinstalling everything I have had no crashes whatsoever and quixel bridge is working awesome! Even started working on a meta human. However I have another post where I can’t seem to get Livelink to connect. I’m totally new too, so if you could give me some insight on getting a smoother time while editing inside UE too that would be helpful. I have gone all the way down to low in the settings and still getting a freezing in movements. I can’t imagine a 24 core graphics running this slow.
