Mac editor - Source control diff tool can't be changed

On MacOS version 10.12.3, with UE 4.14.3, in the editor preferences → General → Loading & Saving,
Source Control, the “Tool for diffing text” dialog box doesn’t let you choose any application, because the file extension is set to *.exe which is obviously ok for Windows but not on Mac.
