Luoshuang's GPULightmass

The 5.1 Epic GPU Lightmass is missing improvements that should make it into 5.1.1

You can post on the Epic’s GPU Lightmass, so the developer can get feedback and make improvements

Hello friends, Has anyone tried installing Luo shuang on UE5.1.0 for some reason it doesn’t work for me.

If anyone knows, please help

Maybe look at disabling Raytracing or Lumen global illumination. I don’t think Static lighting lightmaps works with lumen

Exactly

Hi SiLiUSD…i found the solution for this…just increase virtual memory (on the disk where u save the project) everything runs well until finish

and for the black scene after try bake using luos or native GPU lightmass only happens when i use sun sky in UE 5.1.0

Does anyone 've the same problem here…?

AFAIK sun sky is a blueprint with dynamic sun and dynamic sky, so it won’t bake them.

I having the weirdest issue baking light with 's plugin: the bake kept giving the same error (“Assertion failed: primitiveCount > 0, file , line 61”) until I removed one specific mesh.
Now the bake works fine until i try to remove (either by making it movable or by deleting) a simple plane I used for collision. If I remove that, the bake throws the same error. Anyone experienced anything like that?

@Nick_Tarasov Hi…Having same issue with 5.0.3…
It only uses CPU not GPU…
Did you find any solution?
Anyone?

Another Lighting Study done in UE4.26.

Hi all.
I found an interesting thing. I ve noticed that the lightbaking process is go much slower with 5.1 version then it was with 4.27. So I tryed to investigate whats wrong. And I found that the baking process do not use GPU at all, instead it use CPU. And we tryied it at another two PCs - the same one.
Does anybody know, where might be an issue?

If your computer is running out of vram, GPULightmass can slow down to a crawl and have periods of low usage. Probably better off using Epic’s gpu lightmass or lowering the resolution of lightmaps.

It looks like you are using a dynamic light instead of a static one. If you can move around the mesh like that and the lighting still looks acurate then you probably have your lightsource set to dynamic or stationary. You need to set it to static. Also it says that you have overlapping UV’s so you should also fix that probably.

Can anyone upload again please

Anyone has problem downloading the GPU plugin from dropbox and ?
All link are not accessible, need fix, thx!

Hi @leoletsrock Works for me its probably you network or anti virus blocking it as I previously explained in another post Windows 11 and recent versions of Windows 10 block Dropbox as is shown in the picture
