Lumen Lighting Problem

I tried to create day and night cycle using the Ancient Demo. I want to know what is happening with the Lumen Global Illumination.

This is my setting. Is it fixable for now?

Thank you!

Hello!

By problem I assume that you are refering to the last part of the video when the sun is under the map. It could be due to two things for what im looking on the video

The first one, you can try and select the landscape assets an make them to cast “Two sided shadow” in order to prevent light form leaking when is shining under them.

The second one might be the Scene Fog, it tends to sccater light even when is “nightime”, so maybe the best option is to change the light valuo closer to 0 lux when the nightime is approaching

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply, one of the problem is the shining under the mesh. I will the “two sided shadow”.

The other problem is the flickering light, when it turns to night time. I have been playing around with the settings, but it won’t make things look better.

The flickering could be resolved by changing the exposure speed parameter in the camera or the post process

It is kinda working, just a bit smooth now. May I know how do I do the “Two sided shadow”? Is it from the command? Or some nodes from the material?

Hello!

The two sided shadow option can be found on the details panel when you select a mesh in the world outliner !

THANK YOU SO MUCH! :grinning:
