So this weekend I participated in Ludum Dare 30, here is my entry. I went a bit nuts on particle effects for the gates.
I scrapped my original idea after 2h when planning out the work required and also thinking about a couple of limitations the engine would present that I could not resolve within the 48h timeframe. But after a night of sleep I came up with this idea. It’s a bit weird and does not have much point to it but UE4 lent itself very well to building a game in a very shot period of time.
My favorite feature has to be the Static Mesh Editor’s collision mesh options for automatically generating shells.
