Lowering forward momentum in the air


New to blueprints so still struggling to get my head around things, hoping somebody can help me with a problem.

I’m treating my character in my first person prototype as if he has a rocket attached to his back and is wearing a wing suit. I’m firing the guy about pressing E and slowing him when airborne, via Space, by lowering gravity (essentially using the win suit).

What I’d like to be able to do is also slow his forward momentum when falling and using the wing suit, so as well as falling slower he’ll also reduce his speed ahead, but I can’t figure out what I should be getting and adjusting (or how to do that) to adjust that velocity. I’ve tried a few things with modifying the forward vector but I don’t seem to be able to get the right effect.
