My school project requires us to use low poly static meshes. What is a good rule of thumb for the size of triangles for VR?
Hi. It’s not the size of the triangles really, it’s how many.
Basically, you want to stop just before the object starts to look blocky.
If you can reduce the tris to the bare minimum, and the mesh still looks ok, then it’s low poly.
