Low fps in editor

HI,

I get low fps rate in my ue4 editor - even in very simple projects (blank project). The frame rate is stuck at 21 fps.
Also when I start the game in standalone, the framerate is low. In general the editor seems to be very inresponsive: when I select a menu entry it takes a moment till it is marked es selected for example. I tried to fix the problem in project setting → generalsettings → framerate. No impact.

My hardware is ok: GTX970, i5 4690K, 16GB Ram and the UE4 Editor seems to run on the GPU and not on CPU. I use MSI Afterburner to check fps and other system parameter.

Pleas help me. I’m totally lost

Looking at your specs, I noticed that your video card drivers were not current. Would you mind going ahead and updating your drivers to see if that makes any difference in your performance while using the editor?

I updated my NVidia drivers and now everything is smooth at 120fps.
