Unreal Engine Technical Support Engineer
What you will do
Geotech is looking for a UE Tech Support Engineer to join the team and assist with the Unreal Engine mainly for Virtual Production, Broadcasting and Digital Twins industry. In this position, you will work closely with external partners and provide technical support and manage incoming support requests. As well it will require technical tasks investigation and help with development and looking for solutions for improvements or bug fixes. In this position you will work closely with UE tools developers, Epic Games and Virtual Production and Broadcasting partners. We need help with support tools and plugins which our company develops in cooperation with Epic Games for VP and Broadcasting industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming technical requests and coordinate it between development teams
- Answering incoming requests
- Supporting Partner iterations via dedicated communication channels
- Helping improve efficiency of development for our customers by navigating and solving problems
- Investigating technical solutions for solving requests, CPP and Blueprints
- Supporting UE plugins usage editor
- Helping with updating UE plugin documentation
What we’re looking for:
- Great knowledge of Unreal Engine 4
- Programming skills, C++/Python and Blueprint knowledge.
- Expertise in film & television or live-broadcast processes really big plus
- Excellent communication skills with experience in external partner engagement
- Understanding of multiple aspects of Unreal Editor including creation of sophisticated Editor Blueprints, Sequencer workflows, LiveLink, and nDisplay
- Desire to both teach others and learn new techniques, becoming industry expert on new features and practices as they arise
- Technical customer service experience
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues via e-mail or other support platforms
- Excellent English writing and speaking
