I am currently looking for people to help me develop a 2.5D version of the GBA classic, Drill Dozer. I am currently working on the script, along with the dialogue. I am looking for a team of people to create the game alongside me. I am also searching for voice actors. I need a team of people who can make and edit character sprites, make and edit enemies and bosses, make and edit the levels of the game, make and edit the menus, make and edit cutscenes, make and edit music, make and edit spoke dialogue, make and edit the gear shifting, make and edit the items, make and edit the different block types, and make and edit the drill. If you are interested in helping to create this, please contact me on this site. We will be using e-mail and telegram for communication during the creation of this game. I have some experience writing stories and dialogue, and some experience in guiding others in creating a game. NOTICE: If you have an issue with anything, feel free to send me a message. I have little experience in making games, but I am willing to try and help if someone is stuck during the development stages. In case you are curious, I leave here a few videos and images to explain what Drill Dozer is. I already have someone working on audio, but any help is appreciated in the development!
A brief explanation of the gameplay: You play as Jill, a young girl who pilots a driller mech. Using the L and R buttons, players are able to drill through objects, walls and enemies. Some blocks cannot be drilled at first, but upgrades to the drill that can be purchased augment the drill, allowing it to drill through tougher kinds of blocks. The driller mech can also be used as a submarine and a helicopter. Drilling is also a part of the platforming: Air vents require you to drill through them, certain objects are only interactable via the drill, and some areas can only be accessed by certain drill techniques, such as drilling into something to shoot yourself higher up. There are six stages, which are split into two parts. During gameplay, you will find a red box with a drill on it. That box contains a gear, which allows you to drill longer by “shifting up”, aka, pressing the L/R button a second time when prompted. After the 3rd and final gear is collected, players are able to drill as long as they want to. Collecting the final gear also means the end of the stage is not far behind. Certain gates block your path, and they are self repairing, meaning you have to locate the next gear in order to progress. Each stage ends with a boss, which requires you to find the weakness, and then drill it.
