Description:
Looking to create a Sydney-based team to create a classic text-based RPG in the vein of Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights and so on. The focus will be on story, with little to no combat. Scope will be very small to begin with. Basically, only a very small test level. The game itself will be much smaller in scope than any of the titles mentioned. I’m picturing only one very short main quest. Features will be in exploring the world/environment.
Includes:
- Text-based quests (Using persuasion, intimidation etc).
- Examination of objects etc.
- A creative, fantasy-based world. No medieval setting - focus on creating unique environments (underground cities etc etc).
Team Structure:
- Currently I’m the only person in the team.
I have 12 years experience in level design and game design, in numerous projects and a triple A title. (I can share my portfolio upon request - email me for more information).
I am also a professional author and will bring to bear my writing skills for the project.
Talent Required:
- I plan to keep the team small to 3-4 members. (You’ll find this is unusual, but from experience the large 20-person teams are a waste of time).

Experience with 3d design software
Previous game or mod releases
Experience with UE4 toolset a bonus.
Props and building design in isometric view
3D Character Artist (1)
Experience creating 3d characters/monsters
Previous games or mod experience
Experience with UE4 toolset a bonus.
Expected to create, rig and animate player, npcs & monsters.
Blueprint/Programmer (1)
Experience coding and/or using blueprints in UE4
Ability to create quest, dialogue systems, inventory etc etc…
