Looking for someone to help me with fake shadows as in Showdown VR demo

I’ve been trying to crack down on this particular detail for my learning project and I haven’t been able to resolve it :frowning:

Here is what I got and it doesn’t work (because I don’t know what on Earth I am doing with that fake shadow material): Dynamic blob shadow ? - Rendering - Unreal Engine Forums

I am looking for someone who could help me to create fake shadow setup that works (and costs nothing to performance on mobile) and explain whys and hows of the method (maybe it’ll make it into a tutorial so no one else would suffer in the future).
