Looking for some documentation on tiled map generation


I’ve been learning UE4 slowly, however I’ve run into a bit of a roadblock finding resources on my next challenge.

My next project is to learn generation of tiled maps/ levels, similar to Ian Shadden’s demo. However, I also want to try and implement the ability to mine the tiles between rooms, pretty much like how Evil Genius and Dungeon Keeper did it back in the day.

If anyone could point me to learning materials or documentation on how to put something like this together, that would be great.
