Hi,
I’m building an ambitious AA-style narrative JRPG with action elements called LW — a dark mythic sci-fi world blending a world under collapse, regressed human civilisation, unique dark-fantasy and a deep lore structure involving myth, social manipulation, and moral-choice driven endings.
After writing great part of the story and most of the game mechanics over the past two years, I’m ready to embark in this journey. I have excelled in my career and managed already projects over £15m (although in a completely different field) and I couldn’t ask for anything more in terms of career success.
This call emerged after replaying some of my major childhood RPGs and Clair Obscur Expedition 33. Especially, Exp33 founders’ story made me believe in myself and in what my mind created (and still creates) over the years.
This is something that I deeply believe in and all my close friends have been captured by (and keep me asking about):
A videogame from the depth of a thinking soul.

I’m looking for a Lead Programmer Co-Founder to join me in developing a polished vertical slice to present to publishers and investors. This will be an iterative process between two creators at this stage but with a long term plan to make this project real and shared with thousands of other people.
About the Project — LW
Genre: Action JRPG, narrative-driven
Style references: Hidetaka Miyazaki (Elden Ring), Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy 7 and 10), Yoshitaka Murayama (Suikoden 1 & 2).
Engine: Unreal Engine 5 (preferred)
Tone: Dark historical/sci-fi × ancient myth
Scope: 10–15 minute vertical slice to be prepared in the next 6-8 months, followed by a publisher pitch and full production with funding

Who I’m Looking For
A Programmer with:

Experience in Unreal Engine (Blueprints + C++)

Understanding of 3rd-person gameplay

Comfort with prototyping combat, movement, AI

Ability to work collaboratively on creative problems

Excitement for narrative and atmospheric gameplay
You don’t need decades of experience — just reliability, skill and passion for the games I referred to in the section above.
Your Role as Co-Founder
You will:

Build the core prototype systems

Co-lead creative decisions on gameplay

Shape the technical identity of the game

Help define the production roadmap

Work directly with me (Creative Director & Writer)

Have real ownership and a percentage stake
