Looking for Help to Finish a Web Development Project
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for an experienced web developer who can help me finish and properly debug an existing web application.
I’ve been working on this project for weeks with the help of AI tools. Unfortunately, despite many changes and attempts to fix problems, I keep running into the same issues. Sometimes a fix creates new problems, and features that should work properly still don’t behave as expected.
I’m not an experienced programmer, so I need someone who can explain things clearly and focus on practical results rather than giving me more code that may or may not work.
What I need help with
1. Debugging the existing application

Review the existing code and identify the actual causes of the recurring problems.

Fix the underlying issues instead of applying temporary workarounds.

Make sure that existing working features are not broken by new changes.
2. Building a realistic 2D memorial editor

Create a photorealistic, polished black granite memorial design.

Allow users to upload a photo of their pet and position, resize, and zoom the photo within a specific area of the memorial.

Allow users to add the pet’s name, birth date, date of death, and a personal inscription.

Ensure that the finished design can be saved and reopened exactly as it was created.

Avoid cartoonish graphics, fake-looking 3D effects, and designs that look like generic CSS cards.
3. Fixing the language system

When a user selects a language, the entire application should use that language, not just the homepage.

All pages, buttons, forms, messages, and date pickers must display the correct language.

For example, a date picker that is supposed to be in English must actually display English month names, weekdays, and controls.
4. Checking the backend and security

Review the existing authentication, database, file uploads, and access permissions.

Make sure users can access only the data they are authorized to access.

Avoid deleting existing data or making risky production changes without confirmation.
5. Testing and deployment

Test the fixes before deploying them.

Check that the application builds successfully and that the relevant features actually work.

Use a safe development workflow so unfinished changes do not break the live website.
Current technology
The application uses Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, and Vercel.
What I’m looking for
I’m looking for someone who can inspect an existing project, understand what is going wrong, and help bring it to a reliable, working state.
I’m open to working with an experienced developer or receiving advice on the best way to use AI coding tools without repeatedly breaking things.
I would especially appreciate practical guidance on how to approach this project, which problems should be fixed first, and how to verify that a fix really works.
