I’m currently looking for a Unreal Engine developer (Blueprint or C++) to collaborate on a playable demo / vertical slice for an upcoming studio pitch submission. The goal is to prototype core gameplay and showcase the tone, world, and mechanics of the project.
About the Project

Genre: Narrative-driven Action RPG

Tone / Themes: Sci-fantasy, psychological tension, memory, identity, fractured reality

Game Modes: Primarily single-player (potential future co-op mode with branching story paths)

Art Direction: Semi-realistic, independent visual tone (not AAA photorealism),

Short-Term Goal: A 5–10 minute playable demo showcasing movement, combat, interaction, and a short narrative sequence.

Based in France, I specialize in creative development, writing, and design.
My skillset includes:

Storyboarding & cinematic structure ( the game is constructed like an anime movie )

I’m not a UE gameplay programmer — that’s why I’m seeking a technical counterpart.
Who I’m Looking For
Ideally someone who:

Has experience with Unreal Engine (gameplay scripting via Blueprint or C++)

Is willing to prototype locomotion, basic combat, interaction systems, and/or simple AI
-
Values clean iteration rather than trying to build everything at once
-
Is comfortable communicating and working asynchronously
Not required, but highly appreciated:

Experience with replication / multiplayer (for future co-op mode)

Experience with animation blueprints and state machines

This prototype is part of a formal submission package, intended for:

Compensation is negotiable based on involvement and funding path (paid contract, revenue share, or hybrid — happy to discuss a fair model with transparency).
