Description:
One26 is a third-person, survival, action-adventure game set in modern day America, a few months after a devastating global pandemic.
The game tells the story of two unlikely survivors as they work together to survive a treacherous journey across what remains of their world, in search of the truth. A truth that may have devastating consequences.
Explore a hostile world that blends survival and action elements to tell a character driven story.
Background:
We have spent the past few months developing our techdemo to the high standards that we believe gamers expect to see. We are now looking to expand our team and build on the great foundations already established. A large part of our game mechanics are completed and these now need refinement and improvement. Scroll down to the end of this post to see some of our in-game screen shots.
Our aim is to complete the techdemo, so that we can seek funding from publishers and/or private investment. This project offers prospective team members an opportunity to learn new skills and further develop existing skills in a fun and interactive team. General Requirements:
• Passionate about video games
• Interest in learning UE4 (optional and position-related).
• Interest in sharing your experience with other team members. We encourage the team to always share knowledge and best practices so that everybody can benefit.
• Having time to actually work on this project; if you are too busy, and have too many projects going on, then please don’t apply.
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Good English communication

Talent Required:

Current Openings
Technical Artist (Animations)
• Experience with UE4 animation system
• Experienced with blend spaces / animmontages / animblueprints / states
• Ability to create high quality animation content and implement them correctly in Unreal Engine
• Expected to animate a variety of 3D models which includes characters
• At least 10 hours per week available to work and chat via Skype
• Long-term interest and availability (+3 months)
Level Designer/Gameplay Scripter - Position Filled
• Experienced with UE4
• You will create amazing levels, utilizing core game mechanics in varied and exciting ways, focusing on leading the player through the world, ensuring they understand their objectives and can find their way intuitively and with confidence.
• You will lay out the game world and script events to create unforgettable experiences, crafting the pace whilst balancing progression, challenge and reward.
• You will collaborate with the rest of the design team to ensure consistently high-quality level design across the game and well-balanced difficulty & progression
• At least 10 hours per week available to work and chat via Skype

Concept Artist
• Experience in Photoshop and other painting packages
• Understanding of 3d tools and workflow within games (bonus)
• Ability to visualize complex environments, designing original concepts that fit with the style
• Concept development though idea generation using research and reference materials
• Ability to create a strong mood by using light and shadow
• Ability to create photorealistic matte paintings
• At least 10 hours per week available to work and chat via Skype
• Long-term interest and availability (+3 months)
C++ Programmer
• High level of knowledge of C++
• Experienced with Unreal Engine
• At least 10 hours per week available to work
• Long-term interest and availability (+3 months)
3d Artist - Generalist
• Experience using Maya/3ds Max or Blender, Photoshop and/or Substance Painter/Designer
• Ability to create realistic 3d assets by using concept designs and real world reference material
• Experienced with Unreal Engine
• At least 10 hours per week available to work and chat via Skype
• Long-term interest and availability (+3 months)
Animator
• Experience in creating realistic animations
• Experience in implementing animations in UE would be a bonus
• Experienced with Unreal Engine
