I would want to use my own models, not the awful looking default model MakeHuman uses. Can I import my own models into MakeHuman without needing to re-rig and redoing the weight map?

I don’t know about this. It may be possible, but my guess is no. You could ask on the MH forums.

Does MakeHuman also has a means of measuring sections of the models? Like in Daz (with a plug-in) you can loop it around the hips and get an accurate sizing of the body part. And MakeHuman does allow you to save morphs, correct? That’s the one thing I need, that’s why I even use Daz.

You can enter measurements to create a complete model. Multiple measure points on torso, arms, legs, neck, and so forth.
