We are building a Unreal Engine 5 game with a strong focus on scalable architecture, advanced systems, and AI-driven gameplay.
We are looking for a Principal Unreal Engine Architect / Tech Director to own the technical foundation of the project and help assemble and guide a senior engineering team.
Responsibilities

Define and own the UE5 project architecture

Make core technical decisions (engine systems, performance budgets, pipelines)

Design scalable systems across gameplay, AI, content, and tooling
-
Establish coding standards, code review processes, and technical guidelines
-
Mentor and support senior engineers
-
Collaborate closely with gameplay, AI, and content teams
-
Identify and mitigate technical risks early
Requirements
-
10+ years of professional programming experience
-
Strong Unreal Engine 4/5 C++ expertise
-
Experience as Tech Director, Principal Engineer, or Lead Architect
-
Multiple shipped projects (PC and/or Console)
-
Deep understanding of:

Engine architecture
-
Performance and optimization
-
Production pipelines
-

Comfortable owning high-impact technical decisions
Nice to have

Experience with gameplay AI systems

Multiplayer-aware architecture

Experience building or scaling engineering teams
