This issue occurs when trying to drag static meshes from the content browser. Specifically, static meshes from the Nordic Coast collection from the unreal engine marketplace. I’ve added about four static meshes from this collection, and each time, it takes around a minute to load the static mesh and balloons the required texture streaming pool by ~500mb.
Other similar assets from different sources can be dragged from the content browser seamlessly and do not add as much to the required texture streaming pool.
I’m using a pc with an intel i7-147000k, rtx 4070 ti super, and 64gb of ram, so I really doubt this is a hardware issue.
Any thoughts on how this could be fixed? I am noticing that the static meshes that take forever to load have this icon in the content browser:
Not sure what this means, but it seems to be the main difference between the static meshes that take ages to load and the ones that don’t.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
