I cannot get my LOD manager to use the SourceModel LOD0. I select it as the preview and hit accept, but it always reverts back to the RenderData LOD0. I also tried using the command r.forceLOD but my render is still using the warped text on the model. How do I disable all LODs? I just want to use my full quality mesh and textures.
I’ve had issues with this same thing, and can’t find any documentation about the Render Data LOD anywhere. I haven’t found a solution that works every time, but these are the best workarounds I’ve found so far:
- Export as FBX and re-import (you can choose to export the source mesh or the render data) - reducing the mesh complexity first seems to help
- Enable Nanite
- Merge two meshes together
- Double check it’s not fixed by enabling Full Precision UVs
If anyone has any more info on this, I’d love to hear it.
