Lod explanation wanted

I don’t have to much experience using lod’s but i have a few questions… my understanding is multiple poly meshes etc… But how long does the render take to transfer between… is their a huge diff…

The transition is handled by the engine and will be nearly instant, but the transition speed is relative to mesh complexity, higher poly count will (very slightly) increase load time. Same rules as normal mesh creation apply, keep your poly count as low as possible!
