Location Coordinates or Translate Values in RC?

Hello everyone!

I am relatively new to RC and have a question about the location of the aligned scan within RC.
Is there anything like a location coordinate system or are there translate values in RC like in Maya for example?

I would like to try to establish a workflow between RC and Maya.
As of now I export the scan model with -90 degree around the X-axis and with a scale value of 100 for each axis - so that the model will have the right scale and direction when I import it into Maya. Then I move it to the spot that it needs to be at.

I would like to do as much preparation as possible in RC so that I don’t need to change much in Maya. Best case would be that I can adjust the scan in RC if it needs to be changed later on, I export it, import it into Maya and it’s automatically at the right location. So the location is very important in my case.

Does anyone know if that’s possible?

Hi AMetner,
it depends in which coordinate system you are working and what is set as project and output coordinate system in the application settings:

If you have created model you can use Maya export settings directly:

and also choose in which coordinate system you want to export your model and use scene transformation to move the model to a wanted position.

If you need to place the model to a wanted position it is a good idea using ground control points (GCPs) with known coordinates in local coordinate system (or in a wanted coordinate system).
