If there are 8 local players, on the same big touch screen, 8 players interact at the same time, how to configure? thanks a lot!
Hey there @Loftyaugrea! Welcome to the community! If you’re using the old input system, each touch corresponds to a different number in the touch index. 1 - 10 are each finger starting with 1being the first touch it receives and 10 being the 10th touch it receives. From there you can track their positions. Though I’d need to know more about your game to tell you how this relates to your game!
In the old input system under Project Settings → Engine → Input:

New input system almost the same way:
Though it may be easier to take out the pass information from the raw touch events:

I have an oversized touch screen, It has 16 contacts. Eight players are playing interactive games simultaneously on this touch screen. 8 players at the same time
I have an idea is to divide the whole large screen into 8 pieces as input. Is this possible and how to achieve it?
Interesting! That would be perfectly fine if we can get around one minor issue. I’m going to have to do a bit of research on if there’s a way to receive the extended inputs, as I know the base touch inputs go up to 10 contact points at once, and I’m worried it’s a hard limit (without source editing). Since we can take the locations of the touches and process them as other players just fine.
Thank you very much. This is another article about max touch input
Ahhh great find! That’s a snippet editing a piece of the source to be able to handle more inputs. If you’re working form source, copying that snippet (unless there have been more changes to the touch input) may work out.
