I can not open a project that was working fine a few hours ago. I did some searching on the support pages and saw that if there was an error during saving that could cause this error.

It would take a very long time to save and the drive would seem to go to sleep. So a couple times I had to “End Task” in Task Manager on RC to restart the process. I am saving to an external NVme drive connected via usb 3.1.
I am on RC version 1.2.0.16813RC using the PPI license. I already paid for the license and processed everything to my liking to export, but I get an error as well when I try to export.
The project is a 3D scan of a painting. There are only 162 photos in the project. Could you please help?!
I don’t know what the error is, but with only 162 photos, maybe just restarting the project will be faster than trying to figure out the problem. RC is buggy.
I am sorry you have experienced this issue. Just to warn you, problems like this usually get fixed by re-processing the whole project. Something probably got corrupted when project was saved, and it is hard to determine exactly what went wrong.
There is one solution that may help which is not recommended for other problems, but you can try it now. I recommend making a copy of your project and trying it on that copy. You can open the project file in a text editor (right click on the project file and open in the text editor) and manually delete the last model, and also delete the corresponding .dat file in the project folder.
You should be able to use the license from your project. When you once licensed your inputs, they should be licensed forever (the file is saved on our servers for two years, therefore it is better to download it and save to your computer).
