Loading .pak files from different engine versions

Is it possible to create a .pak file in version 4.22 and then mount and load its assets at runtime in a 4.24 game?

If it’s not supported now, are there any plans to do so in the future?

I’m trying to build an archvis catalogue of sorts with hundreds of items, which the users can use to add assets (ie a chair) in-game, which triggers a download of the asset (.pak) and loads it at runtime. Different apps (packaged builds) would have access to the same catalogue, but many of the apps were made using different engine versions since they were developed over the years.
