"Live" photogrammetry modelling

Hi all,

I am currently working on a project where I would like to be able to create “live” photogrammetry models (by taking pictures with my camera straight onto the PC and RC updates the alignment every time a picture is added). I have both tried this solution (https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360006500260-Watch-input-folder-for-live-photogrammetry-?input_string=Live%20photogrammetry%20modelling) as well as the cml on Repetitively check for new images in the image folder and align them with already imported images (which can be found here: https://www.capturingreality.com/realitycapture-cli-sample-scripts). While the first one worked, it created really quickly hundreds of components, because it continuously ran the script (even though no new cameras were added to the folder). The second one sadly did not work, because it started checking the folder for new images, but when I ran RC it gave me an error message (failed to add folder). Somebody has any ideas? Thank you in advance and if you have any questions, more than happy to answer them.

Hi Felix,

for second script you need to firstly open RealityCapture application and then start adding the images into folder. Also, you need to have the script next to the folder of image folder.

If you have ENT license you can also use Real-time assistance: https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018842059-Real-Time-Assistance-feature-in-RealityCapture-1-1-1-Blaze

Hi Ondrej

thank you for your quick reply. I have the project folder set up as following (see attached picture) and had RC open.

While I am running RC and the alignAfterAddingImages.bat file, I add images to the folder and the .bat-script recognises these images, but RC gives me a notification that the software failed to add images.

Currently I am using a PPI license, could that be the problem? Thank you again for your help.

What you write here: ?
The whole path or just Images?

The whole path E:.…\RealityCapturetest loop\Images

Just Images is needed in that CLI.

That worked! brilliant thank you very much!

Hi. Otrhan, the link you provide can’t direct to the right website. can you pose another valid one? thank you.

Hi William Wu,
