Hi, I’ve downloaded the Live Link Face App for iPhone, I’ve set it up as per the instructions in the documentation for realtime tracking and set it to the same WiFi network as my computer. When I bring in the Live Link Face source and give it the correct address, I get a yellow triangle that says ‘Subject is Invalid’, despite me being in close proximity to the phone with no obstructions. This is stopping it from being picked up as a valid source for realtime tracking. Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi, I got the same issue and solved it by activating “Realtime Animation” in the iPhone app settings. I guess that if it’s not activated you should record a sequence in the app and then import it to UE.
It is showing that as long as there is no face in the frame.
As soon as you look into it and are on the main screen of the app, it should switch to “Subject is operating normally”.
Hey man! I’m experiencing the the same thing. I tried every conceivable solution on the internet and commented solutions above but no avail. Everything as is it should be and still no dice. Would be greatly apperciated if somebody come with a actual solution. Here’s a screenshot I took if it makes things a bit more clear.
When using the Live Link Face as source in UE make sure the Live Link Face App on the phone you are using the Capture Mode you are in is Metahuman Animator and not Live Link (Arkit)
Thanks Kevin. Yes app settings are exactly the same as yours. I actually narrowed down the problem. Somehow my pc can send data through wifi but cannot receive anything. I checked everything about network sharing but even though the pc configured to get data through wifi, still getting that “subject is invalid” error. Recently I did the livelink test on my laptop and it works perfectly. I still can’t find any solution for it.
Hey @LynxTR,
Please check your windows firewall settings on the machine that you are having trouble with, ensuring that it allows incoming connections. This is likely the issue here.
Thanks for the answer @JamesPullan. Unfortunately I tried that method too. Firewall is not the issue. I can’t receieve any files from any device. Network sharing settings are ok too. I guess it’s a wifi adapter issue. Laptop has a intel wifi 6 adapter, pc on the other hand has realtek wifi 4. I don’t know. Maybe it’s missing some features that enables to receive data I guess.
Just logged in to say this response saved my whole night. I was getting so frustrated and it was so simple.
