Live Link Capture Manager vs Live Link Hub

I’ve been using Capture Manager on 5.6 to record my facial animations and import them into Unreal via my iPhone.

This has been working flawlessly for me, but suddenly stopped. I assume because you now want me to switch to Hub.

I’ve been recording multiple characters at once, as it is written into the script, and then upload the Metahuman Performance and cut the different characters face movements into my scenes accordingly. Very fast and efficient.

I do not want to have to only record one character at a time, as I believe Hub is wanting me to do. This would drastically cut my productivity.

My files from my iPhone will no longer transfer via the Capture Manager in Unreal. I spent days recording these scenes.

QUESTION: How do I transfer my existing iPhone Live Link Face recordings over to the new Hub? I can connect and record new scenes, but can’t figure out how to transfer over any pre-existing iPhone recordings?

That sounds frustrating. From what I’ve seen, Hub doesn’t automatically pick up old Capture Manager sessions. You’ll probably need to manually bring in the .mov or .json data from your iPhone recordings and re-link them in Hub. Might be worth checking if Epic has a migration guide hidden in the docs or forums , a lot of people seem to be running into the same issue since the switch.
