Hi, is there some documentation on how to setup a fortnite live event like Travis Scott etc.? So is there everything setup before the stream or are there any additional or different things to consider? Countdown etc. ?
Hi Sergio,
I just tried out the ‘Real Time Clock’ device and everything looks to be working as expected.
I’m not sure the best way to hook into that ‘On Time Reached’ event though…
Keep in mind that it’s a 24hr clock based on the GMT time zone.
Hi Astrotronic, that already helps me a lot thx! Just to check if i got it right, one way to a repetitive live event would be to make a island that starts at a certain real world time and everything else in the island map should be planned ahead like a normal game map?
Glad to hear it,
By repetitive event you mean something that happens at the start of each hour?
I wonder if you could add one to the ‘Hour’ variable after the event triggers (+With logic to account for what day it is)
Maybe spawning a new ‘Real Time Clock’ with new variables would be better.
I’m new to UEFN/Verse, so I’m not sure how to do either, but I’d start by learning more about how to use Verse to work with Devices.
Just as an FYI, the repeatable options only work if the device reached it’s completion time during that session.
So setting a RTC (real time clock) to do something every 24hrs will not work as expected, but it’s great for a 1 time live event.
HI @spankysully1 , thank you for the info. Yes i want to do an one time event. So you would use the real time clock to trigger at a certain real time. For Example i build an island, event should take place on the 19th April at 18:00 CET, so i connect a trigger that start all of the stuff (Sequenzer) at once, like a chain reaction. Do you mean this way of doing it? Thanks, Sergio
Hi, just want to clarify,
Does it mean that we can stream live data to UEFN that will be used in the actual game live? So players will be able to see the live performance at the specific time etc?
Thanks
Hi Neshamota,
No. The end result of something like this would be a pre-authored animation playing at a specific real-world time. (no live data streaming)
