Hello, all! I’m a developer working for a relatively small company and we have a long history with Unity and mobile games.
However, as we’ve been delving into bigger projects, I figure it’s time we turned to Unreal, which deals far better with larger games no matter the platform.
This has met some resistance from the business side of the company, as adopting a new technology is indeed a reasonable risk for us. From the technical side of things, I believe I have convinced them migrating to UE is the right move, but they are requesting some examples of games made for mobile with Unreal Engine.
Some examples are a given: Fortnite, Injustice, Bright Memory… But I’d like to hit a bit closer to home. I’d like examples made by small companies such as ourselves. Sillier stuff like hypercasuals and endless runners. A couple of mildly successful live-ops projects.
Can you help this humble dev convince his business overlords to adopt Unreal Engine so he can be free from Unity’s evil clutches?
