Debian 12…
I followed the documentation to install UnrealEngine from .zip files.
I tried to compile and build from source as well.
Also there is 3 missing files needed to launch ./Setup.sh since UE5.3
Instance 1.
I got stuck at ./GenerateProjectFiles
Error
“Unable to build UnrealBuildTool”
Instance2.
I get to the “make” command
3998 of 4002 files were compiled. Im not joking it was 6hr long.
Some problems with header files i tried to bypass. It didnt work obviously.
Inatance3.
I finally decided to launch Epic Asset Manager and download UnrealEngine through their platform.
Got myself in a launch and crash loop.
I dont know what to do really.
Unreal has been working on Windows no issues. I have switch to Debian recently and i think there is not enough support.
…
Can anyone care to help me?
its been 6 failed installations and about 3 days of searching for help.
Thanks
