Line trace ignoring tick event.

Can anyone tell me why the end point isn’t being updated every tick? The begin point is, but not the end. When I start the game the end point hits, but if I move it doesn’t follow. The tick node may as well be an event begin play node.

Which is strange, since I just did pretty much the exact same thing in another blueprint and it all works just fine. This one doesn’t use a player pawn…but what difference should that make?

I fixed it. For anyone coming across this as well, the problem is indeed tracing to the player pawn. Instead, I traced to a component inside the player pawn and it worked.

Why I can’t just line trace to the player pawn though I have no idea. If anyone knows the answer I would be interested in knowing the reason.
