Light Map Dots Popping up in weird Places

I’m getting weird dots on my light maps I bumped my resolution to 256

so I"m curious to understand why this is occurring, if anyone knows I would really appreciate the assistance.


Which software did you use for modelling walls?

It looks to me like a bunch of your polygons are split and while it’s aligned in the UV’s it is producing artifacts along those seams.

so I figured it out, essentially I’m using sketch up data and UV mapping it in 3ds Max, the issue was actually the first UV Channel, But doing a flatten map pass on the first channel it completely removed the issue.

took a little while but worked it out. :slight_smile:
