Lidar - randomly needs to reimport and then is reimported with point positions scrambled

HI, after making some scaling adjustments to any lidar asset in UE5 and above, the engine shows a warning that the asset needs to be reloaded. Then once it is reloaded in the engine - the points are scatted in a kind of cross-like formation. I then need to delete the asset and reload it. Is this a bug? or am I overloading my memory?

Did you ever find a resolution to this issue? I’m having the same problem, only I don’t get a prompt to reload – in my case, all I have to do is save and then re-open the project and then all of my point clouds change to the cross-like or starburst formation you describe…
