Does anybody have a link to the licensing terms for snippets posted and found in this forum? If nothing is stated the copyright is with the original poster and no license for use is granted. Yet it’s very easy to copy-paste from here so I guess I’m missing something? The only thing left to hope for is that the code is trivial enough not to warrant a copyright in the first place, this evokes a bit of a worry for any large game developer.
Ideally, the license would be included on every page showing a snippet to clarify. The posters should also be informed of how their work will be used when they provide a snippet. An explicit CC0 might be a good suggestion, but I’m no lawyer!
