I am a C++ programmer who has been learning C++ for roughly 6 months now, I have made this post because i am looking for opportunities.
I am looking for opportunities to work in a team environment and gain some experience not by only developing a game but by working as a team.
I would like to build a portfolio for myself on the project(s) that i help develop.
At the moment i have nothing to show for myself because i have not found a project i want to work with. Everyone has to start somewhere right?
I want to have fun developing the game so i will not be able to help with VR/Mobile games as they dont fit my interests.
I have no experience with networking; I am in the process of learning networking at the moment.
If you have any opportunities for me please contact me here:
What i am trying to achieve!
In September i am starting college and that is where my journey begins, throughout the 2-3 years i am there i would like to build a decent portfolio with at least 3 full projects and throughout my time at university this will hopefully increase. I believe this will be a very good starting point for my future even if i decide not to go down the game programming path it is still a good start for anything to do with programming. What better time to start than now?
I am not looking to be paid as i said im just looking for experience and looking to build a portfolio.
If you contact me i would like to see:
An estimated deadline for the project.
A GDD for the game so i can get a feel for it.
The game must have a good budget/have some way of it being funded for the essentials.
I would like serious offers and people that are serious about starting and finishing the project and not leaving it half way through. (Lets keep this professional)
Also the game must have a realistic scope, things like MMORPG’s i am not interested in as this will take year(s) to fully complete and at this current time i dont want to be spending year(s) on one game.
Something like 4-6 months for the game to be made from start to finish is what i am aiming for, anything longer than that i might not accept.
Just a tip: If you emailed me a detailed email about your game (Doesn’t have to be a long detailed email) there would be more of a chance of me accepting your offer as its more professional.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
