Hi,
I’m interested in possibly finding a permanent role, in London area as a C++ gameplay programmer, with C++.
I’ve reached a pretty solid understanding of using UE4 C++ engine, as well as the relationship between C++ and BP. I’ve never worked in a professional role, so this would be a first.
I’m at a point now where even if I’m not sure of some part of the engine, I’m able to fish for what I need through the API documentation and other sources.
A while ago, I released a very simple ‘platform’ type game. This was me getting my feet wet with using UE4: Jumper by Ginger Beard Gaming Studios
I’m currently working on a couple of other projects (Both C++ based)
- Airport simulation game. Here’s a video of a talk I gave at an unreal engine meetup: https://skillsmatter.com/skillscasts…imulation-game
- Linux Arena/Survival based FPS. I’m using this project to explore using UE4 to program games in native Linux.
Other non UE4, but relevant skills:
-Fallout 4 modding. I’ve released a handful of gameplay related mods which can be viewed here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/u…tab=user+files
I have other skills such as PHP web development and 3D modelling.
