Levitating a feather with VR controller

I’m new to Unreal Engine and working on a Harry Potter-inspired project. I’m trying to make a levitating spell (Wingardium Leviosa) using line trace by channel and VInterpTo.

The problem is, the feather shoots toward me and ends up behind me, instead of following the trace end like i’m intending for it to. Screenshot attached—any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?
