Level streaming on maps - volumes or sublevels?

Hey all!

I’m confused about level streaming. On Unreal Engine they say that you need to create a level streaming volume (as in: Stream Sublevels with Level Streaming Volumes | Unreal Engine Documentation ) but the youtube videos and other ark specific information I’ve found (such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0mptinaWIo&list=PLp46z1UxQR1vo4FTLHe3ifYOhXgUWaBz9&index=8 ) say that you just create sublevels (such as jungle west far, jungle west near, etc.)

The big difference to me is that you have world composition checked for sublevels and unchecked for level streaming volumes. I have no idea which is more efficient.

Does the Ark dev kit automagically stream submaps? Do we need to create streaming volumes?

I want to make a fairly large map and I’d like to reduce lag and load times as much as possible.

Thanks in advance!
