Level Editor Camera Moves Unintuitively

I’m not new to unreal engine. And frankly this has never happened to me before, nor is it happening in any other project or in the viewport preview tab of any blueprint in the same project.

Here are some footages:

Now, this was happening as I moved my mouse up and down. I don’t even know where to begin in trying to figure this one out.

This is what happens when I move my mouse left or right.

I should note that my mouse functions perfectly fine everywhere else.

It looks a little like my camera was rotated? What can I even do about it?

Restarting the engine didn’t help but now after running my game in editor for a few seconds it just reverted back to the normal state? I don’t quite understand it so I’ll leave this thread open.

Hey there @Dark6gg! It looks somewhat like Orbit around selection was enabled temporarily and hitting gimbal lock but that’s definitely not the case as I believe that requires editor settings changes. Has it resurfaced at all?

Hey @Dark6gg!

If you select an actor in your scene and press “F” to focus on that actor, does that reset the camera for you?

Don’t rotate yer camera directly kids! this is why they invented the spring arm
