What Type of Bug are you experiencing?

Devices

Steps to Reproduce

1)Create an island
2)Design a Level sequence that moves something obvious/animates something that you can easily see/test
3)Have the sequence start quickly/early in the game
4)Have someone join so the sequence is triggered/begins playing
5)Have another player Join In Progress AFTER the sequence has already been activated
6)Monitor how both players see the Sequence and you will see they do not see the same thing

Expected Result

I would expect the Level Sequence to behave the same for all players regardless of what time they joined a game/session

Observed Result

The Sequence either does not work, is not visible, or is in a completely different position for Join In Progress players meaning a lot of maps that rely on the Sequence are completely broken.

Additional Notes

This bug has been a problem for about 2 years now and severely impacts many maps relying on Cinematic Sequences for functionality.

FORT-866278 has been created and its status is ‘Unconfirmed’. This is now in a queue to be reproduced and confirmed.

For me this issue effects both Join in Progress players and players that die and respawn after a sequence has started.

Sometimes the sequence for the join in progress players will appear in sync. But the bug becomes obvious if you step on an platform that is moving in a sequence. It’s almost as if the physics and the visuals become desynced. This bug prevents using most sequences for any gameplay like platforms, transpertation and effects.

Oh wow i didn’t know the issue went that deep.

That is extremely frustrating especially since Sequencing is such an important part of a lot of UEFN maps.

Hopefully something is done soon!

Thank you for the report. The team is working on this. Closing this ticket out as a duplicate of FORT-848395.
