Lens Distortion in the later versions of Unreal Engine (4.23)


I have been looking at the intro to composure video on youtube and downloaded the files, they do not match with what they were doing in that video, they were also in 4.17, which I assume is related. Been googling tons, but I can’t find good information on proper lens distortion in Unreal Engine anywhere, does anyone know how to properly set up a sequence camera with true file-based lens distortion?


Take a look at the updated composure sample on the learn tab. You can see that static lens distortion has been added to each shot with an ST Map (EXR generated from Nuke). You can see that it plugs into the UV’s of the CG layers as a displacement map for distorting the UV’s. Hope this helps.
